Well, yesterday morning the Weather Channel was featuring a grilling guru. He was grilling up a storm, on a turbocharged grill.
I was so inspired by seeing the guy turn out all this great looking food, that I decided to pick up a few items today, pull my $7.00 grill out from the crawl space, and cook me up some of those delicious dishes.
So, tonight, I got out the bag of charcoal and igniter fluid, got a nice bed of coals going, and I commenced to grilling asparagus, cauliflower, onion slices and tilapia, all drizzled with EVOO and seasoned with roasted garlic.
I gotta say, that was one excellent meal. Yep, coming from me, the original "Greasy Food King", that's quite an admission.
H-m-m-m-m, now I gotta do some thinking about tomorrow's menu.
I'm just now eating supper. It consists of a microwavable Campbells New England Chunky Clam
Chowder made with tender Atlantic clams and hearty potatoes. The label doesn't say where the potatos are from.
Odds are pretty good that the spuds are from Idaho or Washington State. New England not so much.
Geoduck (pronounced "gooey duck") chowder is a specialty of my area but the Chinese are driving the prices way up.

Did I ever mention a friend who flashed a Denney's on Halloween with a geoduck tied around his waist?
That would be a pretty expensive costume nowadays.

Last night was meat balls, mashed 'taters and english peas...
I think it's so sweet how he calls them "English" peas....:-)
Well......they're not German.
They're good 'ole' "Amurican" peas.....
