TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Who you calling old junior/senior guy?

It's just plain hot here too, 92º.  I will go out at sundown to water and watch fireflies.  Outside of that I know that I am damn lucky to have a window A/C and can pay the bill.  Just like in winter when it's 4º..life's a trade-off isn't it.

Hey, It's been pretty nice today here in the mountians of Tennessee.
99 degrees here @ 7:40PM CDT......it's summer in Texas......
91 degrees at 11 pm...I am sick of summer in Kansas.
How true is this, spend them all!

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:
Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400.00
in your private account for your use.

this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules.
The first set of rules would be:
Everything that you didn’t spend during each day
would be taken away from you.
You may not simply transfer money into some other account.
You may only spend it.

Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account
with another $86,400.00 for that day.
The second set of rules:
The bank can end the game without warning.
At any time it can say, “It’s over, the game is over!”
It can close the account and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?
You would buy anything and everything you wanted right?
Not only for yourself, but for all people you love, right?
Even for people you don’t know,
because you couldn’t possibly spend it all on yourself, right?
You would try to spend every cent, and use it all, right?

Each of us is in possession of such a magical bank.
We just can’t seem to see it.

Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds
as a gift of life,
and when we go to sleep at night,
any remaining time is NOT credited to us.
What we haven’t lived up that day is forever lost.

Yesterday is forever gone.

Each morning the account is refilled,
but the bank can dissolve your account at any time…

SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?

Those seconds are worth so much more
than the same amount in dollars.

Think about that, and always think of this:
Enjoy every second of your life,
because time races by so much quicker than you think.

So take care of yourself, be happy, love deeply,
and enjoy life!

Here’s wishing you a wonderful and beautiful day.

Now go and start spending!

I'm going to put some in the bank by taking a nap.

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbHad my nap getting ready to take Happy to the dog park.

Here are a few pics of us at the Oak Ridge, TN Science Museum Today.b

You seem to be a little out of balance on that third pic, Robbie....I can't quite put my finger on why, though.

I don't see a problem...

but, I have had three beers and one dark and stormy. It's possible that is affecting my perspective.

I'll be right over, Q.....toting a six pack....and lascivious thoughts!

Not looking......
I've always liked a "bit off" myself.
