I think it may be, but some women opt for it anyway.
I did, Slim, and am glad I did! :-)
A woman marries a man thinking that she will change him.
She won't.
A man marries a woman hoping she will never change.
She will.
Then there are the oddballs like me. I never wanted my husband to change, but he did because of the realities of life. So did I. But that's only right. I like him the way he is now as much as I did when he was 23. Oh the stories we could tell.
That is good to hear, Joella. George and I are longtimers too!
Congratulations to you and Joella and your spouses.
Thanks, Bob!
George and I will be married 38 years in May.
mine's lasted about 12 years, but we haven't said the "i dos" yet. long, long engagement.
I lived with my wife for more than 20 years (she was 17, I was 18 when we met) before we decided to get married. It was a fantastic relationship. Really, we thought we were married anyone but it was a good excuse for a party. So we did the deed. Then we thought, well, we can afford it, why not have a baby? So we did. 6 years later, we split up and never joined again. Now I live my life alone. I don't know what happened.
