ICE CREAM!!!

I just had a serving of pineapple sherbet mixed w/raspberry sherbet. It was refreshing.

With temps hitting & exceeding 100 across the country, I thought this topic might cool us off a little.

What flavors of ice cream, sherbet, sorbet, frozen custard do you enjoy?

How do you like your ice cream?

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard from Dairy Queen.......Most any flavor from Jersey Junction in Grand Rapids
........from the store it's Blue Bell all the way, especially chocolate or butter pecan...

H-m-m-m, I just got back from a drive into town to get an ice cream cone at the greasy spoon (Yep, they also do quite an ice cream cone bidness in the summer). I got the cherries in cherry ice cream, and then found out it had "no additional sugar added".

YUCK!!!!!!!!! THAT THING SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!

Next time I'll get something with chocolate and caramel in it.

My favorite summertime flavor of ice cream is peach. My favorite all-year-round flavor is chocolate. I like the Chocolate-Covered-Strawberry Blizzard from Dairy Queen.
George likes butter pecan the best, and he likes the M & M Blizzard from Dairy Queen.

Goldi, that frozen confection from Dairy Queen sounds very decadently delicious.

I used to get the black cherry flavor when Thrifty Drug Store sold ice cream. Now that was cherry ice cream!
Thrifty is long gone, bought out by PayLess, and some of their stores still honor the frozen tradition.

Vanilla is my favorite, because when it appears around here it usually accompanies some form of cake, etc.

Almost any kind of tropical-flavored sherbet.

A local store stocks a lemon-raspberry sherbet that is so tart, it'll make you pucker so hard you'll go deaf. Love the stuff.

I'm actually not a big ice cream fan (I know, WHY then did I start this thread?? I bought pineapple & raspberry sherbet for a get together over the weekend that got cancelled, so there it sits, in my freezer ;-p)
back to "I'm actually not a big ice cream fan" - BUT, the only Sheridan's Frozen Custard store in all of metro Atlanta is only a few minutes from me, and boy is it great! I love it.

I'm a big fan of Gelatos and Italian Ices, by the way. Too bad nobody around here has a stand for dispensing them. Just one more plus of living in a big city, I guess...

I had the most delicious Italian Ices in my early 20's, when I was living in NY. Anytime I've had them since they've been a huge disappointment. I don't know if my tastes have changed, or if I've only had counterfeit Italian Ices since then. :-(

The basics. Chocolate chip or is it chipped chocolate. The debate begins. Vanilla works but I don't really care for straight Chocolate ice cream. Not all that particular. I'll eat almost any kind. I never saw the appeal of spumoni though.

I tried spumoni, didn't care for it either. Last week I had some really good rainbow sherbet - flavors in it were orange, raspberry and pineapple. Very tasty and refreshing!
