Shuckins, I'm washing clothes today. If I leave 'em on the line, tomorrow they'll either dry real quick or get really dusty. Saturday looks good though.

Obvious reference to Randy Jackson there.  It is already the 21st in western Pacific and Asia and the end is nigh, or not. Now as to fire or ice, in the end, is that much of a choice?  What we have here are greatly exaggerated expectations, to paraphrase Mark Twain.

So, if it is the end, it is also the beginning, which is always the hope we express every New Year's Eve.  So, For auld lang syne...
