It's been so cool in the mornings the past couple of days I had to dig out my winter robe & slippers.  Low 80s for highs & we need a quilt at night for good sleeping.  It's been dry here but rain is forecast for Mon. & Wed. of next week, which can change, of course.  In the meantime I'm water the gardens in the evenings.  Hope everyone has a pleasant holiday weekend.  Our weekender neighbors here at the lake have arrived & mowers are growling everywhere.

Finally it hit in the 70's Wednesday and Thursday,it was a lovely two days,Today it looked like it was about to rain,we got a drizzle but thats about all we had.

It has been cool these last few days.  It seems it has been cooler since our neighbor has opened his pool.  So cool that we have been wearing sweatshirts and long pants.

Hi Chief, Sailspinner, SeaShelly,

Thought I'd drop in and say Hi!

Things haven't been the same in the garden in the past year, as Carolyn  passed away last year.  Have been spending time in the gardens removing plants so the gardens don't look overgrown!!! Looking at down sizing to a ranch house, and moving to a smaller piece of property!

As time has passed, it looks as if TBD has also passed. If anyone wishes to take over the group, I can add you to the admin group so someone can continue to administer the group!

Hope everyone is enjoying their gardens and not freezing during the effort!!!

Hey, group.  Been away for a while but now I'm back.  Looks like it has been quiet here for  a while. Hope everyone is doing well.  It's summer in central GA - temps in the high 80s & an occasional 90.  We had LOTS of rain in April but could use some right now.

I think this has been a really cool Summer so far. Only going to be in the mid 70's today. My tomatoes are not doing very good this year. Most of the Toledo area schools start this Thursday. Wow!! In Michigan they start the first week of September.

I think we may see an early Fall for Ohio. Just as long as Winter is not early...LOL!!

August always is dry in GA and this year is no exception. Doesn't seem to me it's as hot as usual but maybe I[m just getting used to it. The garden is almost finished already - much earlier than usual. Does this mean an early fall? A lengthy fall would be most welcome! Hope everyone is doing ok.

It stayed cool here in New Jersey.  It started out in the 50s.  It said 71 in the afternoon, but it was still feeling cool out.  We had to close the windows in our house and turn off the fans.

Yup! It surely has been a strange day. The day started out at 50 and cloudy.... Then the sun came out, the temp raised to the mid 60's. Now it's really windy, and down into the 50's..........
