Last Ride
When his father bundles him into the car in the middle of the night, ten-year-old Chook knows something is wrong. Both beautiful and harsh, "Last Ride" is a journey of heartbreak and hope. Hugo Weaving delivers a career-defining performance alongside 10-year-old newcomer Tom Russell. As Kev and Chook they reveal a complex and moving relationship in which friendship, betrayal, loyalty and love are portrayed with rawness and a poetic urgency.

Set in the world of male strippers, "Magic Mike" is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars Channing Tatum ("Dear John," "Step Up") in a story inspired by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer called The Kid (Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money.

Neil Young Journeys
This past May, Neil Young drove a 1956 Crown Victoria from his idyllic hometown of Omemee, Ontario to downtown Toronto’s iconic Massey Hall, where he played the last two nights of his solo world tour. Filmmaker Jonathan Demme was on hand to capture the journey and both shows, highlighting new songs from the album Le Noise (2010), produced by Daniel Lanois, mixed with classics like “Ohio” and “I Believe in You” and previously unreleased songs “Leia” and “You Never Call.”
In Neil Young Journeys, Young’s mesmerizing performances are presented in full, along with passages from the sometimes funny, sometimes wistful ride into town. Demme and Young previously collaborated on two other performance films, Neil Young Heart of Gold, which chronicled Young performing in Nashville, the year after he survived a brain aneurysm and Neil Young Trunk Show, which memorialized a Pennsylvania concert during Young’s “Chrome Dreams II” tour.

A Burning Hot Summer
Loosely evoking Godard’s Contempt, A Burning Hot Summer examines the once-happy marriage between brooding painter Frédéric (Louis Garrel, the director’s son) and his movie-star wife Angèle (Bellucci) as it hits the rocks. When another young couple—actors Paul (Jérôme Robart/Frontier of Dawn, Regular Lovers) and Elisabeth (Céline Sallette/House of Pleasures, Marie Antoinette)—joins them on a Roman holiday, tensions and passions flare. The film features a score by the Velvet Underground’s John Cale, with the legendary Maurice Garrel (the director’s father) in his final role.

Beasts of the Southern Wild
In a forgotten but defiant bayou community cut off from the rest of the world by a sprawling levee, a six old girl exists on the brink of orphanhood. Buoyed by her childish optimism and extraordinary imagination, she believes that the natural world is in balance with the universe until a fierce storm changes her reality. Desperate to repair the structure of her world in order to save her ailing father and sinking home, this tiny hero must learn to survive unstoppable catastrophes of epic proportions.

I Heart Shakey
A heartwarming story about a widower, his 9 year-old daughter and their devoted mutt Shakey. The film follows this family of three as they move from a small town to Chicago and are forced to get rid of their dog, who wreaks havoc in their new apartment building. It’s a simple heart warming story geared toward kids that focuses on loyalty and keeping the family together. It has recently been approved by the Dove Foundation for family viewing.

The film paints a startling picture of the extent of the problem-today, a female soldier in combat zones is more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire. The Department of Defense estimates there were a staggering 22,800 violent sex crimes in the military in 2011. 20% of all active-duty female soldiers are sexually assaulted. Female soldiers aged 18 to 21 accounted for more than half of the victims.
