'K, I WILL ADMIT IT....NO LAUGHING FROM ANY OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to see AIW. And yes it was because of Johnny. And I went with some of my friends, who insisted on being stoned...
which makes no sense to me. The story is already crazy enough (and no I did not partake, thank you!).
So, The story was just so badly told and all of of it was just laughable.
The effects were terrible, so bad that I couldn't bare to look at it. The acting was terrible and the writing was so rushed and not well told at all. I normally don't write bad movie reviews, but this time I had to. Even The direction was terrible and I'm a huge Tim Burton fan! All the voice actors were just so damned campy. I know wished that I WERE stoned when I watched it....
Hehehehe....

Maybe that's the point! Most people are stoned when they go to see it. I'll bet most of the laughter you heard throughout the theater, reminded you of Beavis and Butthead...

This movie has been seen too much and I believe that Tim and Johnny blow each other too much--meaning THAT THEY BELIEVE THAT ANYONE WOULD WATCH ANYTHING THEY BOTH HAVE A HAND IN!!

This movie might bring them down a notch---
I'm with you Luna! They spent so much time worrying about selling it as a product that they completely forgot about putting together a half-decent story. This Alice has no character arc; she is exactly the same by the end of the film, and therefore her journey is utterly pointless. The narrative thrust is so weak that they have to resort to a hollow battle scene in order to keep everyone awake.
Meanwhile, Depp's Mad Hatter is so dull and phoned-in, that one can barely call it acting (Unless putting on too much blush and a stupid wig counts.), Mia Wasikowska's Alice is so wooden that I kept expecting the Cheshire Cat to use her left arm as a tree branch, and while Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen is mildly amusing, the odd chuckle here and there isn't enough to save this, this--exercise in fantasy sleepwalking.
Now Brooklyn's Finest is a whole other ballgame...
