The Lovely Bones
Synopsis: Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar-winner Peter Jackson, The Lovely Bones centers on a young girl (Saoirse Ronan) who has been murdered and watches over her family and her killer from heaven. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

Legion
Synopsis: After a terrifying biblical apocalypse descends upon the world, a group of strangers stranded in a remote truck stop diner in the Southwest unwittingly become humanity’s last line of defense when they discover the diner’s young waitress is pregnant with the messiah.
Tooth Fairy
Synopsis: A bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy.

Edge of Darkness
Synopsis: As homicide detective Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) investigates the death of his activist daughter, he uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.

From Pais with Love
Synopsis: In Paris, a young employee in the office of the US Ambassador hooks up with an American spy looking to stop a terrorist attack in the city.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The L:ightening Thief
Synopsis: A young boy discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Based on the book by Rick Riordan.
The Wolfman
Synopsis: Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro), a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate when his brother’s fiancée (Emily Blunt) tracks him down to help find her missing love. Reunited with his estranged father (Anthony Hopkins), Talbot learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) has come to investigate.

Shutter Island
Synopsis: Up-and-coming U.S. marshal Teddy Daniels is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston’s Shutter Island Hospital. The Crazies

The Losers
Synopsis: After being betrayed and left for dead, members of a CIA black ops team root out those who targeted them for assassination.

Kick Ass

Death at a Funeral
Synopsis: American remake of a popular British film. A funeral ceremony turns into a debacle of exposed family secrets and misplaced bodies.
MacGruber
Synopsis: A comedy based on Will Forte’s bumbling secret agent whose lack of skill and abundance of personal problems serve as a detriment to him — and those around him.
Pirahnas: 3D
Synopsis: A tremor under the surface of Lake Victoria unleashes scores of prehistoric piranhas, an event which rallies the local sheriff (Elisabeth Shue) who will risk everything to save her townsfolk.
April 23rd
Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps
Synopsis: As the global economy teeters on the brink of disaster, a young Wall Street trader (Shia LaBeouf) partners with disgraced former Wall Street corporate raider Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) on a two-tiered mission: To alert the financial community to the coming doom, and to find out who was responsible for the death of the young trader’s mentor (Frank Langella).

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Synopsis: A re-imagining of horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in reality. Oscar-nominee Jackie Earle Haley plays Krueger.

Iron Man 2
Synopsis: Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark, the wealthy playboy whose exploits as Iron Man are now public knowledge after his admission at the close of the first film. In the follow-up, Stark is pitted against his Russian arch nemesis, Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), and corporate rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). Also making their Marvel debuts are Scarlett Johansson as the sexy Russian spy Black Widow, and Don Cheadle, who takes over the role of Colonel James Rhodes from Terrence Howard.

Synopsis: In this Ridley Scott adaptation of the classic tale, an archer (Russell Crowe) in the army of Richard Coeur de Lion fights against the Norman invaders and becomes the legendary hero known as Robin Hood.

Shrek Forever After
Synopsis: Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking deal-maker, Rumpelstiltskin and finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.

Toy Story 3
Synopsis: Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and the rest of the gang return, with voice cameos by Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton and others.
Jonah Hex
Synopsis: In the Wild West, a scarred bounty hunter (Josh Brolin) tracks a voodoo practitioner (John Malkovich) bent on liberating the South by raising an army of the undead.
Footloose
Synopsis: Kevin Bacon’s beloved ’80s film Footloose gets a musical reboot with this Paramount Pictures production. Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford steps into the shoes of Kevin Bacon in the lead role after Zac Efron left the production.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Synopsis: In this third installment, lovestruck teenager Bella (Kristen Stewart) must choose between her vampire boyfriend Edward (Robert Pattinson) and werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Meanwhile, an all-out war between vampires and werewolves erupts. Director David Slade (30 Days of Night) is at the helm this time.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice
Synopsis: Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé.

Finally, here are some movies slated for 2010 that don’t have confirmed release dates:
Black Hole
Synopsis: A remake of the Disney award-winning classic about a crew who discovers missing vessel piloted by a mysterious scientist hovering on the edge of a black hole.
The Conspirator
Synopsis: Mary Surratt (Robin Wright Penn) is the lone female charged as a co-conspirator in the assassination trial of Abraham Lincoln. As the whole nation turns against her, she is forced to rely on her reluctant lawyer (James McAvoy) to uncover the truth and save her life.
Greenberg
Synopsis: In this new film by Noah Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale), Ben Stiller plays a New Yorker who moves to Los Angeles in order to figure out his life while he house-sits for his brother, and he soon sparks a relationship with his brother’s assistant.
Paul
Synopsis: Two British comic book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51. Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost play the geeks, Seth Rogen voices the titular alien, Paul. Expect comedic cameos galore.
The Rum Diary
Synopsis: Based on the novel by Hunter S. Thompson, Paul Kemp (Johnny Depp) is a freelance journalist who finds himself at a critical turning point in his life while writing for a run-down newspaper in the Caribbean. Paul is challenged on many levels as he tries to carve out a more secure niche for himself amidst a group of lost souls all bent on self-destruction.
The Three Stooges
Synopsis: The Farrelly Brothers (There’s Something About Mary) direct this re-imagining of the classic series about three half-wits named Moe, Larry and Curly.
True Legend
Synopsis: Yeun Woo-Ping (The Matrix) directs Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger), Jay Chou (The Green Hornet) and Cung Le (Pandorum) in a kung-fu epic.

When I get the info on this one, I'll feature it for you. It's a real cool movie based on the Graphic Novel by DC Comics. You, Max, Assassin should be on this one! LOL!!!
This will probably be the biggest discussion since the Watchmen.
I may be able to get a trailer, but I don't want to be the first one to get tagged for putting it out there first! But I'm on it!

At one point earlier this year, Jeremy Renner mentioned that he was up for a role in The Losers, although it looks like that didn't pan out. I haven't actually read the comics myself, but there's something about this comic series and adaptation that just intrigues me. I don't expect it to necessarily be groundbreaking, but its got a great mix of actors and I think it should at least be pretty action-packed and thrilling. As for Sylvain White, I can only say I hope he does a good job.

This movie was produced by Joel Silver and Akita Goldsman, (who gave us Batman and Robin). This may be a sign of disaster. The graphic novel is excellent, and I hope it has as much success as the Watchmen did with the translation from novel to big screen. If it does, we are in for a high voltage, fast moving action flick--which is right up my alley!
