it looks like we're winding down, and nobody bothered to open a discussion today, so i thought i'd just set up a thread for this month, and let whoever wanders in, whenever, post to it.  if our moderator wants to do something differently, you'll doubtless hear about it.

after realizing that i didn't need to move to MI, i'm going to Staunton, VA, the last week of this month, and thinking to plant myself there for the rest of my life.  no other roots yet, other than that's the home of the state's premier mental institution, altho' i've never (yet) been there.

the remnants of Independence Day week must be going slowly, since nobody's been here.  

yeah, i don't want to sign off tbd completely, but i realize that facecrack is taking over and all the follow-ons to TBD are slowly fading into oblivion.  still, i'm grateful for the people that Robyn's creation let me connect with, and i am glad to have that facecrack thingee so i don't lose track of my online friends completely.  

if nobody else starts in August, we can just sign off.  i'll be on the road that month.

good morning, glad to see a bit of chatter here.  Richard, you're awake mighty early!

presents hidden in the trash, RRC?  well, we really don't make much mess here, and there aren't too many hiding places, tee hee.

and Robbie's on the road and Thalia is on her way to work, and Cat's long since AT work.  i have the moving estimator coming in a little while.  i guess we're settling in for the day.

MM ~ I don’t see this place closing down, slow yes but not closing. I’d be here more often if I had the time. Lot’s to do in figuring out where the next journey will take me.

Busy day today, kids came in to the office for a visit and we walked at lunch time to see my daughter perform in the square. .  BUT, more importantly, I finally brought RRC's birthday cake.  Party on, RRC!

Thanks Cat...getting ready to close the store then hubby is taking me out to eat. Then is it home for shortcake [lovingly made by hubby, gluten, corn, dairy free] topped with fresh fruit and  frozen yogurt.

RRC I hope you had a good day on your birthday.  Apparently we are not FB friends so I didn't know until just now.  Strawberry shortcake as well as vanilla ice cream with strawberries says summer to me.

I arrived here at Raccoon Valley around 3 pm today. That's CDT. Still getting set up. did laundry this eve. Looks like I'm on the schedule to work Sun.

Knock knock!  Anyone home?  I hear my voice echo in here.  It's Friday so get busy and prepare for the weekend.  I will be starting the "great porch repair" project.  It will be a nice break from the high level of brain function.
