glad you have sun, Richard! yay! here, too. chilly but bright!
hard to believe it's just 3 of us here. Gwen and i hung on in The Gathering Place, in Eons, for about 6 months w/ just two of us. i hate to give up on the TBD remnants, that was such a good time in cyberspace!
i could look up and see where NASCAR is running today. that sport has evolved so far, from running moonshine right here in the mountains to racing all over the continent. yeah, i kinda' go back to the post-moonshine days, when the granddaddys of the current racers were maintaining their own vehicles!
Martinsville. my sophomore year college roomie was from Martinsville.
thanks for the compliment, but umm, there's still moonshine (and stills!) in them thar' mountains! just not such a big bizness anymore, at least not like it was during prohibition!
LOL "Have tools, will travel" Instructions are to confuse you beyond belief. I use the jigsaw method of assembly. :-)
Happiest of Birthdays Lynn...hope you had a fabulous time doing something fun today....besides assembling furniture.
I am waiting for the snow!!! They are predicting 2 whole inches tomorrow...and I can't wait!!
Good evening! I am leaving for Vancouver BC for a few days. Riding shotgun for Sharon on her business trip. Does this mean I have to convert myself to metric and say ehh? Hope your day went well and your evening even gooder.
RRC don't let the snow get out of hand and head this way. OK?
sorry to be so late. thank you for the birthday wishes, Richard and Crystal! this is a minor b'day; my next one brings medicare! still, i celebrated with a Latin Manhattan, using my now-opened bottle of Cruzan Black Strap Rum! yummm! (equal parts rum, sweet and dry vermouth, w/ lime slice)
hope it was a great day for each one of you! i got my new bedroom furniture on monday, and the mattress arrived today.
i now own and am charging a power screwdriver! the instruction manual recommends NOT doing assembly with a hand tool, so i gave in. sigh. will start again tomorrow. the bed came in 3 boxes, and the dresser in one, but there was no way to tell until i'd opened the 2nd one (the dresser, which says, "one box") and then the 3rd box has the instructions for the bed. the long skinny box w/ side rails hasn't been opened yet....
Richard, have a good trip. i guess you guys are boarding the doggies for the duration, or do you have someone to come tend them?
