I have a copy of this angel...an original copy bought in 1954
In September 1992, a time of a huge beginning if angel belief...my parents were visiting my brother and myself...they gave me this picture...and on the back was an article about the painting, "Music Making Angel" painted in 1480...."It is from the Pinacoteca collection, founded in 1790 by Pius VI. The work was once part of a fresco with the Ascension of Christ in the apse of the Church of SS Apostoli in Rome."
And this is what my mother wrote..."In 1954 our family, Calla, Craig, Thalia Jr, Stephen and I visited the vatican. When our guide met us he looked at Thalia Ray (that's me) and said "there is a picture of this little girl here." We folled him through rooms of pictures and there on the wall of one was this angel. It did look so much like her. An artist was sitting at an easel copying it (imagine that) and we bought the cope. It has been in a drawer all of these years until now. I hope you like it"
This ment more to me than a million dollars could have at the time. She has been with me since...there are many stories of italy...loved it and know i had been there before...probably many times...
another story for another day
happy friday to all

live well, love deeply and laugh often

There are moments in life when our faith is rekindled. It might be by an unexpected act of kindness, or something that happens that is quite amazing to us, things that some would define as coincidences, I might as providences.
Not everybody will undertand why it means so much to us, or see even a distnat meaning in it.
What matters is how it touched us. And that our lives is a little more interesting because of it.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
