How can this be explained? Maybe he decided those no-bid contracts for his former company Haliburton were good for them and him! Or maybe he was proving his manhood after receiving 5 student deferments during the VietNam War?
The guy should be sitting behind bars for breaking international law related to torture. But that will not happen apparently. I just don't understand how a former law professor can overlook the confession of this guy and say we should just look ahead and not backward. No one should be above the law in my opinion.
Heck, the guy had admitted in front of cameras that he ordered torture! Not sure how much evidence is required. But, it will be interesting to see what happens when the inmates from GITMO are tried in court and use torture as their defense. I suspect the spotlight will be on Cheney again for that at least.
