I recently lost a friend unexpectedly. At one time, I would have called him a good friend but we had drifted apart after I retired and I was surprised to discover he had been suffering from leukemia for two years. And then I started beating myself up for being out of touch. it didn't help. But we all know that. We've all lost somebody unexpectedly, especially since covid. Here's an article that does help.
