Most of my vices are food things, I've given up a few because they add inches to my hips. I give up the foods that I can't control easily. If I can eat moderate portions they can stay in my diet, if I want to eat more out they go. Dang it.

Beer. Give it up, probably should, but I'm not ready to yet.

I wish I had a long list but, when one lives like a monk, one might have to elaborate upon the truth somewhat. But like a good monk I too like beer and drink one almost every night followed by a mixed drink or two. I also smoke a pipe occasionally. I had my annual physical yesterday and admitted these vices to my doctor whom I think was tempted to roll her eyes. I believe I could give them up and no doubt will some day. When talking about vices I am always reminded of Catholic Grade School.  They made us go to confession about once a week but at the age of 8 or so in those days it was hard to come up with anything. My scheming colleagues and I decided that we would have to lie to the priest and once you did it, then you legitimately could say you had lied at least one come the next week. Some would have two lies, some three, some one, etc. and then we could compare the number of Hail Marys, Our Fathers we got, etc. I think though the priest preferred the older children who probably had "impure thoughts" to confess to. When you get older, who the hell can keep track of that stuff.

I'm hopelessly addicted to the diet soda Zevia. (Went for Tabs, to diet rite to Zevias - so at least I'm moving towards the healthier options.)

Could I give them up?  Of course! I've done it a million times! (wink!)

Mexican Coca Cola; it's sooo much better than U.S. Coke.  And I hear the Canadian Coke is better still but I'm too far away from Canada so the Mexican it is.

Yup, Mexican Coca cola still uses genuine sugar and not corn syrup and comes in glass bottles! Nothing tastes better than a coke from a glass bottle!

I have to agree about the glass bottles. I have always drank Diet Pepsi. It is my vice alright. I have been considering giving it up as of late because I think it may be detrimental to my health in the long run. I keep putting it off though. I love it...lol. I have it nearby almost always.

lol@ shadowman....I remember confession. I used to say I thought about hitting my brother who teased me so bad. Really...what can you confess at 8 years old? That you ate too many cookies? That you didn't do your chores? geesh.
