What's the story behind that small trinket that sits out of sight in your home?

Sounds grim, however some people disappear for their own reasons and are ashamed or embarrassed to go back home again, I've seen some people post on FB that they haven't contacted family members for 30 or 40 years. Sad, I always like to keep hope alive though.

Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

It's important to keep things that have family ties Kathy. I have very few things from my side of the family, but my wife's family were keepers and savers. We have lots of things but one of our favorites is a shipping trunk that belonged to her grandfather. He came here from Wales as a small child, and the trunk was was what held everything that he brought to the US. Of course most of his belongings are not in the trunk anymore, but we do have his baby shoes. Lots of other things that my wife's mom stored away. Her wedding dress, hand made quilts etc. She also kept a small box with snippets of hair tied with ribbon. We have hair from my wife's great grandmother, grandmother, mother, some of my wife's from when she was a child, and also our daughters from when she was a child.

Out of Sight? (You haven't seen my house - it is nothing but trinkets!)

I have no trinkets.

I'll sell you some REAL cheap!

i'm definitely trinketless.

I have plaques and trophys,do they count?

Yeah, I think they do!  And I don't know what you do with trinkets! That's why they are all over the house!
