How far into a loaf of bread do you go to get a fresh piece?.....just wondered...

Well if I bake it myself I chop off the end and slather it with butter
if it is bought I just have the next piece in line

I don't dig for bread; I just eat it. Did you hear that Wal-Mart might buy Hostess? I hope they do. Not that I eat much of their stuff, just want it to be there, y'know?
