The electricity for this place; I thought the $140/month we paid when we first moved in in the 80s was bad; last few years it's been between $400 & $800/month; we finally broke down & got solar.
Solar. Spent a fortune, then it cost more than expected because company was incompetent. Installed it 1 1/2 years ago and they are still trying to get it to work rather than take it away and give me my money back. We're talking over $30 grand.
Smaller things than you all had to endure. I sent for a sample of somnapure sleep aid for shipping and handling. On the shipping slip, in fine print, it said I had 18 days to cancel or they would put me on their VIP list and send me a months supply every month for $35.00 until I cancel. I fond this out after the first $35 was extracted from my account! I am so upset with them and myself. It sucks!
Also, for the 3 years I have had Time Warner Cable, I had autopay enacted and there was never a problem. Then they said they wanted me to update my banking info. They did not take the bill out of my account and also assessed a late fee. When I went there to straighten it out, they took the fee off, I paid my bill, and asked autopay to be reestablished. I also updated my banking information. I thought all was well until they did not take the bill out on the date I had asked to reestablish. So....I went online and looked at my bill. I paid the bill and manually setup the autopay because it showed I was not on autopay. Sooooo, guess what?! They double charged my bank account. My bill that was $125 was $250! I called and yelled around at some girl who just tried to brush it off and suggested I just leave it as is because it would take 4 weeks to issue a check to me. I said, "you mean to tell me you have my banking information and can extract money from it and you can't just issue a credit back to my account? "Yes ma'am....Me: You mean to tell me that a company that, if the shoe was on the other foot and I was late, that would come here and by gawd shut my cable off, can't write me a check that I can come by and even pick up myself, can't make this right today?!" Her: "let me get my supervisor" Me: "You do that while I get Direct TV's number" This is ridiculous. I was told I would be put on priority to get a check mailed to me. I was told so much malarky. Now I had to put off paying another bill and will be assessed a late fee from them because they did this. I feel wronged by the system...lol....dang...
don't ever hesitate to call the Better Business Bureau on scumbags trying to rip you off.
Wow, Imagine, TW sounds even worse than my cable co., comcast, guess they're all crappy, sigh.
