Shower each and every day.

When someone tells you you need a chill pill, do it.  Anger has to be one of the #1 turn-offs.

i'm as likable as i'm gonna get.

Be born that way.  (So in other words, you gotta choose your parents beforehand...haha, if only.)

Be a good listener.

watch what i do ...then do the opposite

Just keep your mouth shut and smile a lot. . .with sincerity.  People may think you're stupid, but it's better than arguing.  The new thinking is "does it improve upon the silence?"  The old thinking was, "better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you're a fool than to open it and etc., etc."  Remember, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"?

Smile, listen, and don't gossip.

Just enjoy people, either they like you or they don't. No sweat.

I agree, Lifesighs:  you can't make someone like you, either they do or they don't, sometimes it's kind of a chemistry thing and if they don't like you, there's not a darn thing you can do about it. People that are perceived as being boring usually are ignored these days.  Remember how back in the day you'd hear somebody say about someone who was on the quiet/reserved side, "Oh, he/she's worth it once you get to know him/her; still waters run deep, you know."  That doesn't seem to be the attitude for most these days; everyone's supposed to have the gift of gab so they grab people's attention in the first 45 seconds after meeting.  (Ever notice how people seem to be able to forgive almost anything but somebody being boring?)

On the other hand, it seems to be pretty easy to make someone who likes you not like you after a while, lol.

I net someone at a meeting for the first time.  I seldom "don't like someone", but this douche worked so hard ...

I do leave an impression.
