If you left the house right now, what is the coolest place you could go to in about an hour?

I bet lot's folks are dying to do that.

i'm counting on it

The Motorcycle Hall of Fame is about 45 min from us

The Columbus Zoo

You got an Island with Dinosaurs.  Great Jurassic Park!

Giraffic Park

That is a tourist attraction set up by them. The zoo is very nice and educational. I always enjoy taking grandkids there. It is alot of walking though. Very hot days are not recommended though. The animals stay in, and you don't get to see as much.

We also have Dillon State Park right here in Zanesville. Dawes Arboretum is another great place. I never knew it, but there are castles in Ohio. My daughter stayed at a bed and breakfast that featured different types of Renaissance rooms...I'll see if I can find pics.  Velvet Ice Cream Factory is a good place to go see.

Oh yes...it is farther than an hour from here, but The Rock n Roll hall of Fame is in Ohio too.

I think Erie< Pennsylvania is an hour away and there's LOTS of cool things there. Though I prefer Ohio part of Lake Erie which is a little farther. As far as IN Pittsburgh, I always thought the "AVIARY" was awesome and there aren't too many bird zoos around. There is a gorgeous library downtown with wonderful architecture and inside its like a mansion with marble staircases going to each of the 7 or so floors. On the OTHER side of the library in which you have to walk all the way around is the "Dinosaur museum" or the Natural History museum. It always had such interesting things. We have some AMAZING churches. There is a German restaurant nearby that I  was one of the coolest experiences, I felt like I was in Germany. The place is modeled after Germany Restaurant/brewery and its humongous with large picnic tables (maybe 100 of them inside and outside) There was a guy up front who just started playing the accordion and singing and getting everyone involved. Then he'd say, Who's birthday is today and everyone would raise they glasses (mostly their beer steins and do a kind of chant. It was a BLAST but I'm glad we were only drinking and driving on our bicycles because the beer was AWESOME!!
