Bacon-wrapped bbq'd shrimp on a skewer, with a loaded baked potato, fresh croissant with honey-butter, and salad.....at Rucker John's on Emerald Island in No. Carolina.

WOW

You'd like that place, Tim.  While you wait for a table, you get to sit out on the deck and feed the big sea turtles that vie for your attention.  The atmosphere is eclectic and fun, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable.  And everything on the menu is very good....especially if you like seafood.

unless the turtles are on the menu,i'm not interested,=)

Have you eaten turtle?  I haven't.  I understand they're pretty good, though.

I have eaten turtle meat,it's ok.I never had turtle soup yet.I do like alligator meat pretty much.

grilled snapper fillets and king tiger prawns in my own sauce covered in fresh mushrooms and a fresh salad with squeezed lemon and chillie and garlic herbs

I've had so many really good meals it's hard to think back which was the best, I remember a great trout almandine, a braised short rib dinner, both were outstanding.

Last week we tried a new restaurant an Irish Pub that opened in our Danish Village of Solvang, they have wonderful food they use aged beef that was grain fed with no hormones. My husband loved his Irish Stew and I really enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie the meat had been marinated in a wine sauce. It was really tasty. The people in a booth near us were raving about the fish and chips, old european style.

Any of the prime rib dinners dh has fixed; they're excellent.
