how was your day?

Did they have any shrimp left when you got finished? ;-)

hell no!!!

My Saturday was boring.....but my Sunday's going nicely; my Packers won....and the Bears won. The weather is gorgeous...and I'm making Chinese for dinner.

chilly today,hot tamale

I haven't heard that since my daddy died! Thank you for the smile.

Chargers won. Dodgers lost. Trying to watch the Seahawk - forty-niners game but they are delayed by lightning at the moment. My son-in-law who lives with me along with the throng is from the Seattle area. He works Sundays and usually misses their games. He is watching with me. Hopefully they will resume shortly.

Today Sunday I got up too early. I made an apple pie but only had a boughten crust not really made for baking for more than about 9 minutes; I made a homemade crust for the top and baked it and it was fairly good. Later in the forenoon I made vegetarian vegetable soup after walking around my garden and bringing in most of the ingredients so it does not get any fresher and that turned out really good. I put in some boughten egg noodles but made some homemade dumplings for it. Went over to my sister's house and finished cleaning her wood stove. Cut a little lawn. All in all a good enough day. Weather people telling me there is a frost warning for tonight. I am not prepared to cover anything up and my tomato crop is just starting to pay off so it is me versus the weather gods and goddesses tonight. It is 55 F now and It would take a 25 degree drop by morning to scare me into believing them. But when you are dealing with nature, you are dealing with something that does not even know you are here let alone worry about one's tomatoes freezing.

Also I have declared an old T-Shirt at the end of its lifespan for wearing (a rare and sad event). I have not decided on how to commemorate the event yet but all this talk of food leads me to think perhaps a meal at the Chinese Buffet might be part of it. Then the shirt will go to its afterlife which usually consists of being put into one of my vehicles or the garage and used for oil changes and such. Cheers.

Not great it was fine all day then I checked and have to report for Jury Duty tomorrow. Yech! It will be a waste of time and a half hour drive.

just finished work..im tired and grumpy
