grandparents with weird tastes

What disgusting thing did your grandparents eat and then try to have you eat it too?

My grandpa fed me horseradish by the spoonful when I was three. I love horseradish to this very day.

My grandfather...a German....liked pickled pigs' feet.....but never made me try them. My grandmothers were both excellent cooks. My maternal grandmother made the best homemade doughnuts!!

we used to eat pig's feet all the time growing up.

The only thing I can think of are those "store-bought" marshmallow candies (?) shaped like unshelled peanuts.  I could never understand why my Grandpa liked them.

...and if you put them in the microwave oven,they grow to 20 times their normal size.

Lamb! I never tried.  I could not get pass the fact that is was a lamb and the smell was awful.
