My knee.  I don't know if I will ever recover completely.

getting to vote. getting a driver's license. my first champagne. when i learned to smoke. wearing heels. wearing an engagement ring in public.

Oh, you mean now??? Throwing away junk mail unopened because I know that no one's going to come and haul me off if I don't open it. Sometimes I hear a voice saying, "Yes, dear," or "No, dear," to perfect strangers in a condescending tone and realize it came out of my mouth. 'T the hell is that about?

I remember many of those old "video" from when they were played in the News clips before the movie started, just after the cartoon.

This birthday card I saw in a store did (made me laugh too, tho): on the front of the card it said, "Remember when you were a kid and there was that grumpy old man in the neighborhood who was always yelling at you kids to get out of his yard?" (And it shows a pic of a crotchedy old fart.)   Then on the inside it said, "Well, he was 49. Happy 50th birthday!"

growing up,we had an old man(was probably about 50 at the time.) in the neighborhood use to yell the same thing.

we had an old man who used to sit out on his porch, naked.  That happened at least once.  Isn't it funny how we say "used to" when it might have been only once?  Anyway, nobody called the cops on him.  They just all directed their kids to stay away from him and his house.  Different times.
