Well, we do have a stove top similar to that, but it does have knobs 2 adjust heat & a light comes on when the unit being used is hot :) I know friends of mine had this protype stove back in the '70s in honor of their work with the disabled + they were both in wheelchairs.

Steve, I remember that 1964 World's Fair out there in Flushing.  Spent many a date there.  Such good memories.  Still see the Unisphere in King of Queens.  Is it still there?
