I probably would never turn it on myself, but do watch it some with my wife because she follows it. She always records it on the DVR and fast-forwards through most of the senseless drama so we focus on the performances, not the contestant's back-stories and inane interactions between the judges. I do enjoy the early "blind" round where they select their teams but usually find something else to do when they start the elimination competitions.
I am not a fan but my daughter watches every episode if possible
WE watch it, but right now is the beginning and team picking is so boring. Some of the are very good, but others leave a lot to be desired. I prefer once they get down to the last few shows. I hate all the back stories.
I agree about the back stories, ergo the fast-forward button. But I stop watching when they get to the eliminations for two reasons. 1st, it seems to me that they get exposed for not being as good as they seemed originally in the blind tryouts. 2nd, they always eliminate the wrong ones, at least by my tastes.
