Lunch and dinner buffets

What do you think of buffets?

I used to love them but I think they are a thing of the past that we won't see much of anymore unless some major changes are made to how they are served.

We had 2 great one here- loved both of them- but are basically shut down- you can go- but the server has to fill your plates for you.

I liked them when out shopping and there was no time for a leisurely meal. If any were open I would not go now. I think they may be shut down for good as well.

I guess it depends upon the mood I'm in. As Patricia says, If we're just taking a break to eat they're fine  but if we're out for a meal out and we're not going anywhere else a sit-down meal with a server in nicer.

I've always liked them, but not now, of course. They may come back, but not for quite a while.

I enjoyed them, but I eat to much. Don't see them anymore.

That's a moot point now with COVID.  The one we frequented closed down before the pandemic hit. I never would go there in the summer, when bugs were more likely to fly in and fly around the food but we did go there a few times a year. It was a very nicely decorated place; nice ambience. We learned to do lunch since it was less expensive but still have a good selection. I used to love their cheese wontons. Last time I was there I took my sister, her S.O. and my niece out for lunch.
