Stayed awake for almost 36 hours once. It was a reaction to Vicodin (AKA Norco) and I felt *awful*!

I didn't sleep for three nights while in hospital getting blood transfusions.  By the third night I was feeling like eerything was running in fast motion.  I was shivering from the cold temps they keep the rooms.  Nurse check by BP and pulse and glucose levels and all was ok.  Shecame in and give me ashot of Restoril for sleep and I slept for about 5 hours.  It was just long enought that my body straightened out and I felt better.

I worked nights for almost 10 years and was awake for 24 hours now and then, usually because I was going to a funeral or a wedding and needed to stay up. I usually felt like crap after, but...oh well. Last time I was up for over 24 hours was the trip back from Ohio in 2014...nothing but cat naps on planes.

I HAD pulled all-nighters but that was many years ago...late night concerts in Central Park that never ended. When I was single I've gone to parties that lasted well into the next day. I don't know if it's still on the market but I used to buy caffeine pills from Duane Reade that did the trick. Nowadays it's rare but I have done so.

Never had that experience.

When I was having the worst of my sleepless nights the longest run was 9 days. I still don't know how I did that. I was working at the time. Now a days I only go a day or two with sleepless nights. Not quite the same as being up with out going to bed at all, the longest I did that was more than 24 not sure how much, did that a few times.

I've stayed awake a least 24 hours and the most recent was within a year (can't remember when). When I was in my twenties, we'd go out clubbing. Didn't drive so we'd take the bus home, I'd shower, get ready and go straight to work.

Surely I did so in my college days, but don't remember specifics. I was up 26 hours 2 years ago on a travel day coming home from California.
