TBD on Ning

Could be. The long range forecast shows daily highs above freezing and nothing in the forecast. This is my 29th Christmas here and only recall maybe once without snow. After last year, I'll be shedding no tears if I see grass. There is just a dusting out there and plenty of bare spots.

We never get snow here anyway but I'm depressed we're way behind on rain again, so we won't even have a green Christmas; in fact this is what a nearby dam looks like:

A normal water level's up almost to the trees.

We get light snow about every 5 years and enough to last a few days every 10 years. This year has been almost a dry as 2011 but that year we had a wet winter. This winter has been dry and had our first frost this week. Sold half the herd this year due to drought and high hay costs this year.

Still Green out there. Valley inversions here...gray and gloomy, but mid 30's for highs..rare sun. The folks with SAD are feeling grumpy. Too dry, so once the Holidays are over the rain/snow can start anytime. Merry Christmas everyone.

We're expecting a few flurries tonight and tomorrow, Missing summer already.

Had frost on the farm this morning.

Last 2 days...freezing fog and everything is frosted with hoarfrost. Very pretty and the only white we have. Chance of snow this coming Friday?
