I first learned of this while dating my DH as it was a tradition in his family... and has become one in ours since. It's for luck... just a silly superstition... but fun to try and remember to say it first thing before anyone else in the family does.

There are many collectibles for sale such as mugs, signs, pictures etc. depicting this superstition. just Google images to see lots of fun things.

It has been so long since I have been on here at TEE BEE DEE that I have forgotten how to use it.  Anyway I hope this is the correct place to say hello to all of the Bookoholics.  I have had a chance to read a few posted topics and I am glad you all are still here.  I finished Bible College so I am free to spend some time reading other books.  I will be looking for some good suggestions.  But for now you all sound well and happy and reading like mad as you all do.  Blessings to you all.

As a gift for Scarlett, I've asked our member, Gloria, to autograph and inscribe a note to Scarlett on a copy of her book.  Scarlett was born on the same day that Gloria's book THE ROSCOE TALES was released.  It's a dear book about the tales her father told her about his childhood cat, Roscoe.  Am sure that Scarlett will be a "Bookie" as is her mother and great grandmother.  This will be a rememberance of the day that both she and the book were "born."
