carci, I checked back and see that I read THE CUTTING SEASON by Attica Locke in Nov. I gave it an 87 on the Slopok scale. Two of the books that I enjoyed more were THE ROUND HOUSE and THE MASTER BUTCHERS SINGING CLUB both by Louise Erdrich.
Thought I'd never get an email post from this group. Guesss I finally did something right. Don't think my pic transferred over though.

So good to see Colleen and Joanne back in the group! Both were long time members of the original BOOKOHOLICS. Have missed you!
Saying "Hello" to Callie Chick and wish her happy reading!
Terrific graphic, carci!!!!!!
Started The Cutting Season yesterday and having a hard time getting into it. I know a lot of you really liked this book and there was a waiting list at the library so I figure it's gotta get more interesting soon...
A big welcome to Melissa, our newest member!
Perri that sounds like heaven to me. There could be nothing better to me.
One of the blogs I read, Satisfying Retirement, http://satisfyingretirement.blogspot.com/2013/01/moms-travel-journa... , this book "The Wisdom Paradox," by Elkhonon Goldberg was recommended in one of the comments. I just wonder if anyone has read it and what your thoughts are.
