carci, I checked back and see that I read THE CUTTING SEASON by Attica Locke in Nov. I gave it an 87 on the Slopok scale. Two of the books that I enjoyed more were THE ROUND HOUSE and THE MASTER BUTCHERS SINGING CLUB both by Louise Erdrich.

One of the blogs I read, Satisfying Retirement, http://satisfyingretirement.blogspot.com/2013/01/moms-travel-journa... , this book "The Wisdom Paradox," by Elkhonon Goldberg was recommended in one of the comments. I just wonder if anyone has read it and what your thoughts are.
