Carci, It's not really that difficult to do. It does take a lot of discipline tho. I did it last November, only to discover the one I started out writing had suddenly turned into a trillogy ... LOL! Oh well, now all I have to do is get the other two written. LOL!

Gloria, I love the fact that you can edit your comment on this site.  We couldn't do that on Eons.  Usually as soon as I post something, I remember something else I wanted to add, or I notice a misspelling and want to correct it so everyone doesn't think I'm stupid and not just a bad typist...  lol

I can't imagine writing a novel in 30 days. I thought the only one who did that was James Patterson since he seems to have a new one out every month.  Of course he seems to have a legion of writers doing it for him... duh!

Oops! sorry. I tried to edit my original comment, but deleted it by accident... LOL!

It's an event for writers where you try to complete an entire novel of at least 50,000 words in 30 days or less. The main event is held in November, National Novel Writer's Month. There are two smaller events are held as "summer camps," where the participants can set their own goals, anything between 10,000 to 100,000 words. Participating is a real challenge and a lot of fun, too.

Same here, I check in every day, but must admit, my schedule has been so packed lately, that I fall asleep as soon as I start reading.  Need to find some free time and just curl up with one of many books on my TBR.
