Adding my condolences, Mandy. Many of us have been in your shoes and know how difficult it is on so many levels. I second Lip Service's request: Please take good care of yourself. Take time to heal; Rapa is right that reading does help. Some heartfelt advice form your Bookoholics family.
Sorry Mandy for your loss
Being a care giver is a strenuous endeavor, it take a huge toll on a person's physical and mental constitution. Please take good care of yourself
I got an E-Mail from Rapa asking for an up date on my personal situation. Unfortunately, the news is not good. My wife of 48 years passed on June 11th of congestive heart failure. It is the culmination of 2 years of decreasing health from a number of ailments. I have been her constant care giver during this time. As for the moment I have decided to remain in the lovely retirement community of Otterbein in Lebanon, Ohio. My love of reading has not diminished, although I took about 20 days to finish a Taylor Caldwell classic, "Captains and Kings," in the past month. Made into a TV series years ago, the story is about an Irish immigrant who founded an empire of both legitimate and illegitimate business dealings and aspired for his son to be President of the United States.
What is he reading? I can't tell.
Thanks to Lyn for the picture of the cozy owl
I B OK ! Just busy and not finding enough time to come here to Bookoholics. I think the last time I signed in, there was nothing new, and I thought we had gone the way of the horse and buggy! Hope Thanksgiving was good to you all.
