FYI:   Today our long time member, Gloria Helmer (Datsun), was released from hospital after being treated for a massive GI bleed. She had been on blood thinners. She was told that surgery will be done in the future after she regains some strength. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Should you want to reach her you can PM her via this site.

You may vote every day, when you visit the site.  They have now displayed the Top 40 books.  I don't think that means a book that is your favorite is not in contention.  While folks are still voting, your favorite may appear on the Top 40 list!

Just finished The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell by Robert Dugoni.  What an unusual and interesting book about a boy with red eyes... ocular albinism.  I loved it and will try another by this author... highly recommended... 627 5-star reviews on Amazon!

'Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered, buoyed by his mother’s devout faith, his father’s practical wisdom, and his two other misfit friends.'
