TBD on Ning

Just picked this off an email I received...

"Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of  it."

(Guess I'm gonna have to give up Stephanie Plum... lol)

Anyone out there got some more words of wisdom like this?

I love that but I'm not thinking I'll be toting around a copy of War and Peace with Stephanie tucked inside! I love the quote tho' - sort of reminds me of the "wear clean underwear in case of accidents". I have heard that one of the attractions to e-readers is that you can be reading all sorts of crap & no one will know!

I read the "Fifty Shades" trilogy with one finger on the Kindle menu bar just in case somebody came near me while I was reading.  I couldn't delete it as my daughter was waiting to read it as soon as I was done.

I laughed about reading Fifty Shades on the Kindle because last year I read Big Breasts and Wide Hips on my Nook and often thought I would never have read the book in public.  I'm guessing most of you never heard of the book and I should tell you it was a Free Friday selection, but the amazing thing was what a good story it was.  It dealt with a province in northeastern China and covered the entire 20th century.  Very enlightening!!  And the best part was when the author Mo Yan won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature last year.  You just never know what surprises lay in store for you!!

That was a good one.

Great post & discussion!  I figure my house is gonna be messy enuff when I go that nobody'll pay any attention to what I was reading; they'll be too horror-struck by all the dust kitties, cobwebs, etc... :D

ditto

I think when I am gone, my children will be most surprised by some of the stuff I have written that they haven't read. I hope they'll be smiling and applauding my imagination.

LOL, that is great & tickled my funny bone 2!
