New books?  Time to get my name on the library list.  Haven't read Sharyn McCrumb in years and her mountain series was once my favorite series... and can't miss the next Chet & Bernie.

I used to belong to a mystery readers group.  We had authors come to talk with us at our meetings when they were passing through town.  Sharyn McCrumb was one.  A member of our group had met her at the Bouchercon in Nottingham, formed a little travel group with her and a bunch of other attendees, and went traveling around England together after the conference.  The result was "Missing Susan".  My friend is Susan.  She kind of had her feelings hurt by her portrayal in the book and the fact that everyone but her was mentioned in the acknowledgments.  But then the book was named for her.  I don't know how she feels about it now--all these many years later--but she still is a major mystery fan and still goes to conferences.

Get Amazon Prime and be guaranteed two day delivery for free.  You also get one free E-book each month and unlimited streaming of great TV programs like "Downton Abbey." I am currently watching "A Game of Thrones."  There are tons of movies and documentaries also.  By the way, Sharon McCrumb is one of my favorite authors, as I have met at her at a library reading in Florence, KY, where I make my summer home.  I used her novel, "She Walks These Hills" as a reference in a recent Appalachian Highway trek story I wrote and absolutely love her "St. Dale's" as a beginners guide to NASCAR.

Fingers crossed for today. I ordered from B&N this time - give business to someone other than always Amazon and I have their Nook for ebooks but jeez! And their tracking service just sucks swampwater.
