Found this little video on Youtube promoting the movie based on Louise Penny's first novel, Still Life.

I do so hope we will be able to see the movie on US TV.
BTW, her newest novel, How The Light Gets In, is debuting on the September 15 NY Times bestsellers list at Number 1!!! Louise's posts on Facebook reflect her joy at this achievement. Having had the pleasure of meeting her 2 years ago, I can tell you she is such a genuine person and so deserving of this honor.
Am reading the new book and even her Acknowledgements at the opening of the book are poetic and worth reading.
I'm taking a break to get some breakfast, but won't be getting much done today. Picked up the book at the library just before closing yesterday (6 PM) and may just spend today immersed in Three Pines.

Here is a link to the village that is most like "Three Pines" in the promo piece: http://stanbridgeeast.ca/en/index.php As I indicated, I have spent a week in the Eastern Townships area, studying culture, history and enjoying the charm, especially playing golf at the fine courses there. Some of my roots are from nearby Sherbrooke. The area is a lovely mix of English loyalist who crossed the border to Canada during the American Revolution and French Quebec residents. English and French are interchangeable as a language used by the locals. They mix phrases all the time.
