Thanks for posting this sad news.  I'm often amazed by the many people who affect our lives, even though we do not know them.  And yet she won 2 Oscars and a Booker Prize for her writing!!  Amazing!!  Did anyone recognize her name?

I'm with you, Bopeep.  Her life presents a fascinating story itself.  I read obituaries to see who lived, not who died!
