Running With Scissors by Augusten Burrows

This is a memoir by the brother of John Elder Robison (Raising Cubby) and I thought perhaps his material would be interesting since Robison mentioned some OCD behaviors by little brother - I thought maybe he would be on the Autism spectrum as well and I'd get another peek into the Autism family fold.

Uhhh... Let's see - total family dysfunction on steroids?  Pedophilia, gay sex, child abandonment, psychosis - the only thing recognizable between the two brothers is that this brother mentions his sane older brother and they both have the same weird parents.  I burned out about 2/3 of the way through the book.  I just can't take it anymore. 

He does have a quick wit and turn of phrase, but in the end it didn't do enough for me to make me read to the end.  Whew.  I think I'll go read a chemical formals book or something for awhile to clear my brain cells out.  I like John Elder Robison.  Burrows (he had a legal name change from Christopher Robison) notsomuch.
