TBD on Ning

Louise Penney has announced the Bury Your Dead Walking Tour of Quebec will be available in June.  Here's a link to the website: http://www.toursvoirquebec.com/en/old-quebec-tours/bury-your-dead.  This is definitely something I want to do!

I am a big Louise Penny fan, being of French Canadian descent and  having spent many weeks exploring La Belle Provence.  I even attended university there a few years back, enjoying being immersed for a month into French speaking culture at Three Rivers University, that sits on land that my ancestors settled.   The last two books I read by here were "Still Life," which told the story of folks living in the Eastern Townships and "The Beautiful Mystery," which dealt with a remote abbey and the wonders of Gregorian Chant.

Mandy, book #9 is due out in August; its title is How The Light Gets In.  You have lots of good reading to catch up on, if you've only read the first and last book.  You will especially want to read Bury Your Dead, which is set in Quebec City and has lots of wonderful historical references.  But then reading the books in order really helps with the character development.  This is, of course, only my not-so-humble opinion.

Wouldn't that be a wonderful tour to go on!  Thanks Ursula.

That's just soooo tempting. I have to pass it up - but jeez that would be fun!

Truthfully, a tour of "Three Pines" would give me more pleasure but it will have to be in my dreams!
