If you own a Nook HD (or HD+) there is one item of good news:

The Google play is now available for that platform.

Google play allows you to buy and use many apps (around 700,000 of them) with many desirable ones such as Google maps , Google search, youtube and Google mail.

These apps are free so are many games. If you come across some good finds, please share with other bookoholics.

Thanks for the info; I just ordered a Nook HD and can hardly wait to check it out.

I updated mine last night. So many new things to try out.

If you have a kindle HD then you have all this and more.

If you have an old kindle, it is a whole new experience.

I have a number of devices on which I can read ebooks (old kindle, iPad, phone, kindle HD+, laptop) of all these the kindle HD+ has become my favorite

On the HD with the google play you can now get the Kindle app also.

That's interesting.

Can you buy kindle edition books from Amazon even if you don't have a kindle?

That would give an advantage to the Nook since it could be used to read Amazon books and B&N books.

Yes you can now, it won't make any difference to me, but know some people who are wild about it.

Talked my friend into buying  the HD+, they are haivng a great sale  till Mothers day. coming over SAt for a lesson, first step into technology.
