New (for me) Series

For those of you who like Maisie Dobbs, you might like the Phryne Fisher series by Kerry Greenwood. Takes place in the 1920's in Australia. She's an intrepid investigator (think Nancy Drew grown up). I saw a BBC production of one of the books the other nite - I hadn't heard of them before. Something made me think that it was probably based on a book & sure enough, there are several of them. They're more light-hearted than Maisie but I've downoaded a couple of them (they're super cheap) and am enjoying the first in the series "Cocaine Blues". Nice book for a quiet read when you don't want "War & Peace".
