Ahhhh, welcome the merry month of May! Hope this will be a good month for you as the earth blooms. Trust you remembered to "RABBIT RABBIT RABBIT" this morning.
Please keep us posted on your reads and recommendations. If you are a WWII junkie, I highly recommend THE NIGHTINGALE by Kristin Hannah.
Yesterday picked up the late Kent Haruf's last novel OUR SOULS AT NIGHT. Finished the book before sleep! Highly recommend this " spare yet eloquent, bittersweet yet inspiring story of a man and a woman, who in advanced age, come together to wresle with the events of their lives and their hopes for the immediate future." This story takes place in Holt, Colorado, the setting for all of Haruf's stories. If you've not read Haruf, I suggest you start with PLAINSONG.
Ended the month of May with Alexander McCall Smith's The Uncommon Appeal of Clouds, which is part of the Isabel Dalhousie series, which is set in Scotland....hope to visit there one day.
