She's just great isn't she? In reading her newsletters she just seems to be someone you'd like to spend time with. Plus she writes GREAT books! Except for the ending in that last book - that was frustrating.
Louise Penny's book don't have to be read in the order of publication but I think that one would get most satisfaction from reading in that order because there is a history of the characters across the books, you don't need it but it adds to the atmosphere of the life she is describing
I just commented on Louise Penny in my "March Reads." I am of French Canadian ancestry and can really relate to the setting of her stories as I have spent considerable time in Quebec and studied the history and culture of it's people. The characters are priceless and remind me a lot of the characters the Elizabeth George uses to staff the British police investigators. I understand "Still Life" is being made into a movie.
