I found this list of 14 books that are currently being made into movies:

Of special note to many of us is Markus Zusak's The Book Thief, which is scheduled to be released in January. It seems to me this wonderful book was our monthly discussion book back in January 2010, or 2011....the years just seem to blend together.

Amazingly, GONE GIRL has been on the best seller list for over a year. Seems like everyone who wanted to read it has already done so! Wonder if knowing the ending would be a spoiler for the movie. Might be interesting to see Ben Affleck portraying the husband!

I wondered about that, too. Personally I was so annoyed by the ending of the book, I don't plan on seeing the movie, even though I do like Ben Affleck. Don't want to discuss further since it would be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't read the book yet. For the record, I think the book was well-written, just didn't care for the ending.

Ender's game has also a spoiler ending, those who read the book may be not motivated to see the movie.

Gone Girl...thanks for "no spoiler" ....I had this on my hold list in FEB...seems like I was 20th in line...somehow I fell off the list...then place again in May...nuttin? Just checked and re-order AGAIN! Our library went thru a new Computer software update in May so maybe that was the problem.
For some reason I am not hopeful that this book will be satisfying? Maybe the Title? Don't want people I care about to be "gone?"~mlo -
