I'm driving to Phoenix next weekend to attend his book signing at the Changing Hands bookstore in Tempe on Saturday. Good excuse to spend some time with my niece Kathryn, plus get to meet this talented man. I am forever touched by his second book, A Thousand Splendid Suns; the emotional impact of the story was overwhelming, not to mention that it was written by a man, but dealt with women's lives.
