A Spool of Blue Thread

Has anyone read "A Spool of Blue Thread" by Anne Tyler?  I just saw an ad for it.  I have read a lot of her books so I am sure it most likely good but just wondering if any one has read it yet?

I've read it, and IMHO, it was terrible!  Talk about "dysfunctional family", this is a bunch of dysfunctional people, trying to be a family.  Only one character in the whole book that I even cared for a teeny bit,and she was a DIL who did all the things the sons/daughters should have done.  She gets the short end of the stick IMO. If I had not read it at night, in bed, 

I really would have felt that I had wasted many hours.  (Not your usually readable Anne Tyler)

Although I've always read Tyler as we lived in Baltimore where she sets her stories, I plan to pass on this one. The reviews have not been good.
