Thank you for this article Marianne. When you see it up front it's a very impressive sight. Unbelievable how many people lived there and flourished for so many years and then disappeared.
yes, a mystery there. I was at a Mayan ruins site in Cozumel a couple of weeks ago, rather disappointing, not much left, mainly because the land owner dynamited the site looking for treasure!

I don't know how the government allows such things Marianne. It's sad. The INAH is always fighting this but sometimes it's futile.
