Yeah, if they do amuse. I usually catch on right at the beginning and get bored.

You like biographies.

yes, I do

you like history books and have a special period in history you like best

Loving a historian certainly gave me a different view of history books. I like them now. I do have a favorite period in history.

You enjoy many foreign and indie movies, especially if you have someone knowledgeable and passionate with whom to discuss them.

That is true - oldies, too. (I saw Sabrina last night, 1954. Kind of silly, but sweet. I'll see Bogart in anything, and Audrey Hepburn always was adorable).

you like the oldies, and don't mind that they're dated

Yes! I love me some James Mason. ツ

You prefer a back massage to a tickle fight.

true (even a foot massage, ahhh!)

You think Gold Bond is too expensive. You use natural, home remedies

(Foot and hand massages are the BEST!)

I used to buy Gold Bond for the guys. What are some of your home remedies?? :>)

You used to eat mushrooms you picked.

I don't have home remedies, just cheap creams from the dollar store.

No wild-picked mushrooms for me.

You can sense a change in the air, the light, or the barometer, or something, which feels like each coming day is creeping closer to fall.

Not here at the moment--but when the time comes, yes.

Halloween is one of your two favorite holidays (did I ask this already? Giggle)

I don't think you did. No, I don't enjoy Halloween at all. The dogs bark and growl whenever someone rings the bell.

You enjoy costume parties, the chance to be someone(something) else.

Yeah, I enjoy costume parties if they're well done. I love to give "theme" parties (with costumes encouraged but not mandatory).  Not so much to be someone else, but because it such a cool way to break the ice and introduce people to new things.

For instance, the last big party I gave was called the "No Snow On MY Cedars" Pacific Rim Puu-puu Party (The title was a play on the book title "Snow Falling On Cedars"). I gave it in the middle of winter to pick up people's spirits. Believe it or not, a sh*tload of the guests came in Polynesian attire--hula skirts and silly coconut bras, lava-lavas, Hawaiian shirts, etc. We handed out leis, served real polynesian food from around the pacific rim, had crazy classic polynesian themed movies playing in the background, ti leaves and Ikebana arrangements everywhere. People kept coming up to me and saying, "I was never brave enough to try food like this, but now a new world has been opened for me." The party was talked about for many months. FUN!!!

Would you give a themed party (if you were younger) and, if so, what would be the theme?

Yes, it sounds like fun .I think I might base the theme and the food  on the season. You know, desert island beach-y stuff for summer, harvest fruits and vegetables for fall, etc.

You have found a cool housewares and furniture supplier,  which has motivated you to order stuff for a do-over. (Or else, you are thinking of a do-over, in any case).
