No, no one who actually started a publishing concern; but, Michael, the man I lived with for many years, started a poetry magazine at the University of VA. There were others. I've usually hung out with writers and other artists.

I have several friends that got in the grape and wine business that have small presses.  I generally only drink wine in Church on Sunday.
